Family Show

India Mix and I got to experience what it’s like to work in the event industry at the dodo Family Show 24 March to 28 March. We learnt how important it is to work well in a team environment. We also experienced first-hand all of the planning and organisation that goes into the running of a large event. It’s also interesting to see what goes on when things may not go to plan. India and I were lucky enough to be a part of this show as a work placement requirement for our Tourism and Events TAFE course. Being able to get experience out in the field is very rewarding and certainly allowed India and myself to get an idea of what goes on behind the scenes. We were also lucky enough to catch some free rides sample the food and go up on the stage as Elmo.
