Requirements for teaching courses in 2016
There are specific admission requirements for entry into teacher education courses next year. The requirements vary between institutions so students applying for teaching courses need to check the relevant requirements at each institution. As a useful starting point, a page is now available on UAC’s website at www.uac.edu.au/undergraduate/admission/teaching-requirements.shtml with a list of links to each institution’s information about their specifi c entry requirements.

MTA Apprenticeships Plus is part of the Motor Traders Association of NSW and ACT. We place over 300 school leavers into apprenticeships in the automotive industry each year. This is a 3 week Automotive Pre Apprenticeship Course for school leavers looking to secure an apprenticeship in the automotive industry. At the completion of the 3 weeks training each student will be placed on work experience with an employer seeking an apprentice with a view to the student gaining the apprenticeship they are looking for.
Each student on completion of the course will receive a Statement of Attainment in Automotive and will have completed 7 Units of Competence from the Automotive Training Package.

The University of Notre Dame Australia: Academic Merit Scholarships for Commencing Students
Applications close Thu 31st December
The scholarships provide students who intend to study a single degree program with a fee paid year of full-time tuition. Successful applicants will have either a high academic ability demonstrated by their ATAR, IB result, a pre-tertiary qualification of Cert IV level or higher, or a combination of the above.

The University of Sydney’s intensive Summer School is offered over three sessions from December to February.
Students may study as a non-award student and get a taste of the diverse academic offerings and even get a head start on their degree if they’ve just completed Year 12.
Bateman Battersby Lawyers Law Bursary
Applications close: Sat 31st October
Bateman Battersby Lawyers provide a $10, 000 bursary to a student who, upon completion of their Higher School Certificate or International Baccalaureate, apply for admission to a full-time University law course in Sydney, Wollongong, Newcastle or the ACT. The bursary is awarded to the applicant who receives the highest ATAR or IB equivalent.
This program allows students aged 15 – 18 to live in a residential college at Cambridge University and participate in world-class tutorials and seminars. Students will also participate in extra-curricular activities to give them an understanding of what university is like. The programs will take place from 24th July – 6th August and 7th August – 20th August 2016.
There are a number of University Scholarships offered by the Commonwealth government. These include ABSTUDY, Austudy, Youth Allowance, Fares Allowance, Education Entry Payments and more.
PGA International Golf Institute Scholarships

Scholarship recipients will undertake the Diploma of Golf Management through the PGA IGI, who are based at the International College of Management Sydney.
Kenvale College: Be the Chef

A scholarship program run by Kenvale College to give Year 12 students exposure to what it may be like to be a chef. Ten students will be selected to participate in the two-day interactive program.

An innovative program for year 11 students looking forward to a career in event management. Participants will be awarded a partial scholarship to begin a career in events and also be provided with the opportunity to spend a week gaining experience in event management.

The Australasian National College of Beauty is offering one scholarship in each of the Bachelor of Health (Naturopathy), Bachelor of Health Science (Nutritional Medicine), and Diploma of Health Science courses. Scholarships cover the first year of tuition with recipients also required to become college ambassadors. Applicants will be required to demonstrate their academic drive, industry passion, and commitment to their community.
