The High School Careers Expo is a unique opportunity for Year 10, 11 and 12 students, parents and high school career advisers to meet face-to-face with recruitment managers from leading employers.
The aim of the Expo is to develop a better understanding of the variety of career paths available to high school students and university graduates. This event will also help students, parents and careers advisers gain insight into the qualifications and attributes employers look for in their recruits.
The Expo is a great way to help students and their families gather information as you make decisions about the next steps in education and employment after high school.
A range of employers will be represented at the Expo including:
Accenture, Arup, Cisco, Deloitte, Department of Education, Department of Immigration and Border Protection, Department of Industry, Innovation and Science, Honeywell, IMC, Macquarie Bank, Westpac.
These employers all recruit university graduates into full time employment. Some also offer work experience programs and scholarships.
No educational institutions (e.g. Universities, colleges, TAFE etc) will be present. This is an employers only expo.
This is a free event but you do need to register as places are limited.
Who Should Attend?….
This is an event for students, parents and careers advisers who are genuinely interested in talking directly with employers about future career paths for high school students.
Sutherland Reid and Farrar (SRF) Cadetship
This cadetship is for students looking at majoring in accounting and who are just about to complete year 12. The program provides a paid position at the firm and the opportunity to study either full or part time.
Australian Broadcastine Commission (ABC) Indigenous Technology Intern and Scholarship Opportunities

Engineering & Technology Cadetships (ETCAD) Program Applications close 17 June
Applications for the Engineering & Technology Cadetships (ETCAD) Program opened on 26 April. The 2016 Program provides Year 12 students with the opportunity to apply for a Technology Cadetship at Westpac. On completion of their cadetship, Technology Cadets are well-placed to pursue a career in IT and in business. This year Rolls-Royce will not be offering Engineering Cadetships.
