From the Assistant Principal
The holidays provide an excellent opportunity for the girls and staff to reset and rejuvenate after what has been a great term at Bethany. The last few weeks have been a busy time with tasks for all our students and in particular, our Year 12 girls who have just completed an assessment block. Whilst many Year 12 students will use this break from routine to work on Major Projects and catch up on study notes, it is important to first take some time to relax.
Holiday Classes – Year 12
Thanks to the generosity of our staff who have offered their time in the holidays to work on Major Projects. Parents will have received Compass notifications outlining the specific details of these classes and should have completed the online consent for their daughter.
Attendance
Over the past few weeks a number of parents have received correspondence regarding their daughter’s attendance. As Term 1 draws to a close, parents and caregivers are reminded of their responsibilities to inform the school of the reason for their daughters absence within 7 days of the first day of absence. If you know your daughter’s has an unexplained absence, please explain this absence through Compass. Alternatively, you can send an email to the College, explaining the absence and this will be updated in Compass for you.
Mother’s Day Mass and Breakfast
Yesterday an invitation was sent out regarding our Mother’s Day Mass and Breakfast. Please join us to celebrate this special occasion.

Term 2
Term 2 commences for staff and students on Tuesday April 26, when we will gather to commemorate Anzac Day. Girls return in their winter uniform and are reminded that, at all times, the College blazer is the outer garment that is to be worn.
Congratulations to all our staff and students on a fabulous Term 1. I wish you and your families a happy and holy Easter.
