From the Assistant Principal

The first two weeks of school have flown by and it has been lovely to see our students back at the College. Two significant events have taken place here in this short time; we recognised our ANZACs in our ANZAC Day Assembly and yesterday, in honour of Mother’s Day, we welcomed the women who are important to the lives of our girls to school and celebrated Mass together. I was sad to miss this special mass but was able to attend a Mother’s Day Mass with my own children at their school. 

On Tuesday,17th May we will be holding our Parent/Teacher Interviews for students in Years 11 and 12. In order to prepare for these interviews, all students will be dismissed from school at 1.30pm. If your daughter catches the bus home from school, our regular school specials have been organised to transport them home. 

On Wednesday, 4th May, additional supplies of Rapid Antigen Tests were distributed to students. If your daughter was absent on Wednesday they can collect their RATs  from the Bursar’s Office. 

Waratah St is particularly busy during school drop off and pick up times and we’ve had the occasional near miss when students have walked in front of cars or when drivers have turned into driveways in order to pick up or drop off students. Please speak with your daughters about paying attention to traffic and not their phones as they leave the school grounds. I would also ask that drivers pay additional attention to their surroundings, particularly during busy periods. 

I hope this Sunday is a beautiful day for all the special women in your lives.
