From the Assistant Principal
Weeks 9 and 10
Even though the end of the school year is only a few weeks away, there is still a lot happening here at school. This week, the Science Department took our Year 9 students to Minnamurra Rainforest on an excursion and Year 9 also had training on Friday in preparation for their role as Big Sisters to our new Year 7 students in 2023. In Week 9, our Year 10 students will finish up the year with a pastoral program; they will complete a First Aid Certificate, hear from a number of guest speakers about a variety of current wellbeing issues and take part in a coastal walk along the Esplanade at Cronulla.
Our final lessons for the year take place on Monday 12th of December. On Tuesday 13th is our College closing mass and our awards ceremony. Students will be dismissed at 1.15pm on Tuesday 13th December. Wednesday 14th and Thursday 15th of December are our Parent/Teacher/Student interviews. Friday the 16th is a Staff Development Day.
Student Uniform and Personal Appearance
Quite often as we move toward the end of the year, the approach of some students towards their uniform and personal appearance becomes a bit lax. Students need to continue to be challenged when they do not meet the expectations of the College in this area, and it is important for parents to support the teachers in maintaining the College’s high standards. Students will have ample opportunity to experiment with their clothing and appearance during the upcoming holidays, so please help them to keep looking their best in their uniform until then.
