Grok Learning Coding Challenge

Over the last five weeks Year 10 student Amanda McGilchrist has been competing in the Grok Learning Coding Challenge. The coding challenge is a programming competition open to all school students and it is unlike any other programming competition. The Grok Learning interface teaches students how to program as they go along, rather than expecting you to be an expert already.

Steve Jobs, Mark Zuckerberg and Bill Gates have all said that students should learn how to code. It’s a skill that not only teaches you how to work with computers, but also teaches you how to think about solving problems with systems. And one day we might be able to add Bethany’s own Amanda to that list, Amanda received a perfect score the highest possible accomplishment in the competition.

Congratulations Amanda! If your daughter has an interest in coding contact Mrs Chisari for more information or to have a go yourself visit get.gl/big.
