NSW Premier’s Reading Challenge (PRC)

Our participants have made excellent progress over the holiday period. At the time of writing, two students have finished the PRC. Penny Kalantzis (Year 7) was first to complete the challenge followed by Kathryn Milevski (Year 8). Several others are close to finishing.

Above: Penny Kalantzis (Year 7) was our first student to complete the PRC in 2019. She also received a small prize.

There is only one month left for our participants. Keep focused for the end is in sight!!!

The Mystery Photo

For the past few weeks, students and staff have been invited to provide an answer to a question based on a photo that Mr. Amuso has taken. For instance, a photo of a Melbourne building was posted in the library this week and to win a small prize, they had to the first person to guess the street that it was located in.

The competition to win has been fierce each week, but everyone is having fun as they apply their investigative skills to locate the answer. Soon we will invite students to submit their own photos for their peers to guess.

Featured Display

NAIDOC Week was held over the school holiday break and the library prepared a special display for the first two weeks of term. Thank you to Mrs. Sultana for preparing the display.

For weeks 3 and 4, we will have a display focusing on the Apollo 11 mission to the moon as 2019 is 50 years since what is regarded as the greatest achievement by humanity.
