Mt Keira Escarpment excursion

On the 8 September, half of Year 7 went on a Geography excursion to the Mt Keira escarpment. We learnt about all the landforms that have produced erosion, how to read a map correctly and all the different types of escarpments. We did many experiments when learning about the diversity of landscapes. We experimented on the soil moisture and determined foliage cover, tree height and soil texture using special equipment. Our tour guide, Amaleena, helped us to work in teams and helped us apply our learning in a practical way.

Thankyou to all the teachers for organizing such a great day.
