On Wednesday 22 August, educators from the Archdioceses of Broken Bay and Adelaide visited Bethany College to observe how the College caters for diverse student interests and abilities through the Newman Selective Gifted Education Program. Principals, teachers and lecturers in Gifted Education were briefed on diverse learning opportunities at the College, both within the classroom and through enrichment opportunities. Our visitors watched two engaging Newman lessons, in Year 9 Religion and Year 10 English, and commented so positively on their observations of differentiation for gifted learners in these classrooms. Bethany College is certainly building its capacity and reputation as demonstrating best practice in gifted education as seen by the wonderful compliments received from our visitors. Thank you to Ms Wood and her Year 9 Religion class and Ms Taouk and her Year 10 English class for sharing their learning experiences with our visitors.
