Year 7 Athletics day, Friday 17 June. This day gave Year 7 students the opportunity to learn and develop their skills in both track and field events. The purpose of the day was to allow students to meet the requirements of the PDHPE stage 4 Syllabus as well as being an excellent preparation for the upcoming athletics carnival. Students really enjoyed the experience of learning some new skills and received information about the school carnival concerning travel, uniform and the athletics program.

Bethany Athletics carnival: This is one of the best days of the Bethany College Calendar. The athletics carnival ticks all the boxes for being active, fun and a great event for school spirit. This year’s event was held at “The Ridge” athletics complex on Monday 27 June.  The carnival not only provides opportunities for students wishing to advance in school representation, but also there are a number of events to “have a go” in. House captains had created a magical theme and also on the day ran novelty events. Both staff and students embraced the cold weather and provided the carnival with a fun and cheerful atmosphere.
