Representative Sport outside of school
Many students participate at a high level in a range of sports outside of school. Please let us know about your achievements and send any results and photos to info@bethanyhurstville.catholic.edu.au
Some recent results from our very talented girls are below:
Eva Kostopoulos – Athletics
On Friday 16th March Eva Kostopoulos in Year 10 competed in the Australian Junior Athletics Championships at Homebush.
Eva placed 3rd in the under 16 girls high jump, reaching 1.66m.
Bianca Setionago – Figure Skating
Bianca Setionago in Year 12 competes with the Majestic Ice Australia (Junior division). From the team’s performance at the Australian National Figure Skating Championships they placed 1st and were selected for Australian representation at the World Junior Synchronised Skating Championships in Zagreb, Croatia. This competition is recognised by the Australian Olympic Committee and the International Skating Union.
Congratulations Bianca on a fantastic achievement.
CGSSSA Gymnastics Team 2018
Gymnastics training has now commenced on Wednesday afternoons with NSW Gymnastics Coach Elizabeth Andrews.
Congratulations to the following girls who will be representing Bethany College on the 1st June:
Jessica Butler, Georgia Scott, Angelia Rouady, Jade Serban, Aliya Nasser, Katya Alexander, Morgan Creed-Secombe, Kylah Foon, Ngikula Harris, Juliette Lepine, Peace Mugisha,Samantha Pelekis, Olivia Plomaritis, Ana-Carolina Osterman-Schetz, Kate Soussa, Chloe Hatzianestis, Billie Jolly, Prerna Lodh, Gabrielle Dietz, Amelia Bohringer, Zoe Graham, Eva Gouramanis, Leah Gouramanis, Mary Vlahadamis , Aya Bazzi , Elena Benetatos, Yasmin Da Costa Almeida and Ava Stathatos.
SCC Rep Sport
Representative Sport is heading into the finals with 3 out of four teams set to make semis. The current standings thus far are as follows:
SCC AFL – 4th
SCC Senior Touch – 2nd
SCC Junior Volleyball – 4th
SCC Inter Volleyball – 8th
