PASS and SLR Snow Trip

In Week 6 of the Term 3 calendar Years 9, 10, and 12 participated in the Bethany College Snow Trip. During this camp students developed the skills and knowledge necessary to participate safely in winter recreation activities.  Students  gained knowledge and skills associated with the alpine environment and participated in instructor guided lessons each day for either snowboard or ski. The 3 days spent at Thredbo had beautiful blue skies and plenty of snow which allowed the girls to enjoy the experience without getting too wet. I would like to thank the PDHPE teachers – Miss Bailey, Miss Brennan, Miss Soles, and Mr Guthrie for giving us girls the opportunity for this unforgettable experience.

Year 10 Road Safety Forum

Week 6 saw our Year 10 students attend the “b-street smart” Expo held at Qudos Bank Arena. The Expo is held every year and provides an invaluable experience for our girls as they start to embark on driver education.

Year 9 Wheelchair Basketball

Year 9 attended a session of Wheelchair Basketball held at school during week 7. This was a fun, interactive experience for the girls in which they listened to the life stories of the guest presenters and then got to play wheelchair basketball against each other. The girls gained valuable knowledge, skills and understanding of some of the barriers faced by people restricted to wheelchairs.
