Physical Culture Competition Winner
Congratulations to Roselyn Mae Pasia (Year 9) for winning 1st place in her Physical Culture Competition at National level on Sunday 22nd November 2015. Roselyn competed against an approximate of 64 girls on the Sunday making it through Heats, then Semi-finals and Finals. Finals consisted of 18 girls performing the routines 3 times.
For those of you who do not know what Physical Culture (Physie) is, it is the perfect combination of movements designed to increase strength, fitness and flexibility. The benefits for your daughter are increased co-ordination, brain development and confidence.
Roselyn is a current dance student here at Bethany College who also participates in competitions that Bethany enters in, such as SCC and CGSSSA Dance. This has helped her to build upon her confidence at a performance level. The year 9 dance class has just finished their last unit of work, Classical Ballet. Roselyn says that she has benefitted from the ballet technique classes that assist her for some of her Physie work. Roselyn is part of the local Physical Culture Club, Penshurst.
