Students in Year 7 recently met with a Year 12 buddy for fun and conversation in a social skills lesson. Students enjoyed lots of conversation and were able to identify many common interests. Students then played a competitive game “Pointless”, with girls using skills in compromising and disagreeing appropriately. The most important part of the lesson was the “What would you do if…?” which allowed the Year 12 students to impart their knowledge on surviving high school and navigating the difficult and bumpy path of friendship. I thank the Year 12 students for giving up their study lesson to assist with this. It was a very worthwhile experience and many friendships have been made!
