SCS Weekly Sport Update

Congratulations to the Junior and Senior Netball teams who were runners up in the SCS Grand Final last week. We are so proud of you for playing with Bethany spirit and outstanding sportsmanship. Well done!

Athletics Carnival

What a wonderful day we had for the 2022 Bethany College Athletics Carnival. The tbloid format for all events was successful, with the majority of girls getting into the spirit of the day. Thank you to all the students who participated with such enthusiasm and the Bethany staff who supported the carnival so generously.

House Champions and Age Champions will be announced at the whole school assembly in Week 1 next term!

Congratulations to Chloe Jackson who played for NSW in the U19s State of Origin on Thursday last week and were victors of the Queensland rivals.

SCS Gymnastics Competition 2022

On the 24th of June, 6 competitors headed out to the Sydney Aquatic and Gymnastics Centre for a full day of competition with 11 other Sydney Catholic schools. This year’s team consisted of Year 7 and Year 8 students Tahlia Duff, Amelia McGuire, Emily Naumoski, Ceanna Swindon, Eve Yik and Ava Zulamoski. The team was supported throughout the day by gymnastics coach Jade Serban, an ex-Bethany student.

I would like to acknowledge Tahlia Duff who took it upon herself to go over and above and train her friend Ceanna Swindon to perform the Level 4 floor and beam routine.

It was a very successful day for the team with Bethany College coming in 2nd Place overall. Thank you to the parents who attended; you were an added support and encouragement to the team.
