2022 BETHANY COLLEGE SWIMMING TRIALS
On Friday 25th February, students of Bethany took part in the College’s Swim Team Trials. This day enabled the selection of students to represent the College at the Sydney Catholic Schools’ Conference Swimming Carnival. Thank you to the parents who attended the Trials to support their daughters and to Mrs Oliver, Mrs Dunlop, Ms Munsie and Mrs Summons for their assistance and support of the day.

We had some great results coming 1st overall and 1st in the junior and senior division. Some of our girls also managed to break a number of SCC records.
Mia Gentile broke records in the 12 years 50m and 100m Freestyle, Tameeka Johnson broke records in the 16 years 50m Freestyle and 50m Backstroke. Our Junior relay team also broke the record on the night.

It’s been a good start to the year for all teams in the new Conference. However due to the rain, touch football has been unable to play the last 3 weeks.

NSWCCC
Congratulations to Markenzy Vaha and Violet Gruppelaar on their selection in the Sydney Catholic Schools Softball Team. The girls will attend the NSWCCC Carnival which has been postponed at this stage due to the ongoing wet weather. The NSWCCC carnival is a selection trial for the NSWCCC softball team which competes against other sides from across Australia later in the year. We wish them all the best!

Badminton State Championships
Ira Acharya of Year 9, won the under 15 NSW state championship on 26th February at Sydney Olympic Park, This is her 3rd consecutive state championship.
