NSWCCC Update

Abbey Bull – NSWCCC Golf

Congratulations to Abbey Bull for her efforts at the NSWCCC Golf Trials held last month. Abbey finished 2nd overall and was recognised by the trial coordinators for her kindness and leadership as she helped another student on the course who was having a bad day. As a result of her actions, she was asked her to speak at the presentation ceremony on behalf of all the students who competed. Well done Abbey, we are so proud of you.

Tameeka Johnson – NSW All Schools

Congratulations to Tameek Johnson who won Gold in both the 50m Back and 200m Back, and placed 5th in her 100 Free and 6th in her 50m Free. She was also selected in the NSW Merit Team which is the NSW team that would have been selected to go to School Nationals had it been going ahead. Tameeka also qualified to compete at the Olympic Trials held in Adelaide last week. We would like to congratulate Tameeka on this outstanding achievement.

Nadia Debbo – NSWCCC Cross Country

Congratulations and well done to those students who represented Bethany and SCC at the NSWCCC trials on Tuesday 8th June.

Congratulations to Nadia Debbo on her selection in the NSWCCC Team. Nadia won the 12 years event by a significant margin, running a fantastic race. We wish Nadia all the best in competing at the All Schools Championships held on the 16th July.

Chloe Jackson – NSWCCC Rugby 7s

Last week, Chloe Jackson took part in the NSW All Schools 7s competition, playing for NSWCCC. Chloe’s team were undefeated throughout the tournament but unfortunately lost in the final. From this competition, Chloe was selected in the NSW All Schools representative team to play in a NSW Invitational Tournament in July.

Also, over the long weekend, Chloe played in the first ever girls U18s 15 a side State Championships for Randwick. From this tournament, Chloe was selected in a Sydney XVs representative team to play Country in August in Bathurst.

Chloe has also been part of a development program with Australian Rugby with a view of possible Australian representation in future years.

Congratulations to Chloe on these outstanding achievements.
