SCS Weekly Sport Update

Unfortunately due to the weather, Week 1 sport did not go ahead as planned. Junior and Intermediate Football, along with all Netball games were washed out, with only our Senior Footballers playing on synthetic turf. They drew 2-2 with Penshurst Marist.

In Week 2 we were blessed with some beautiful weather for Rep Sport with all teams playing St Patrick’s Sutherland.

Cross Country Team

Congratulations to the following students on their selection in the Bethany College Cross Country Team. The team will compete at the Sydney Cross Country Championships on Tuesday 24th May at Sydney Motorsport Park.

Congratulations to Monique Johnson who was selected in the Sydney Catholic Schools Netball Team who competed at the NSWCCC trials on Thursday 2nd May.

Surf Life Saving Nationals

Congratulations to Lucy Flanagan who has been awarded the under 19’s Australian Sprint Champion and came runner up in flags. Lucy was also a member of the North Cronulla Women’s Open Relay Team who defended their title from last year, winning gold again. An outstanding achievement!

Harvey Norman Women’s Rugby League

Chloe Jackson has been playing in the Tarsha Gale (under 19s) representative competition for the North Sydney Bears since February and has recently been invited to train and potentially play with their Harvey Norman Women’s Premiership Team. On Sunday, Chloe made her debut in their first game of the season coming off the bench. Congratulations Chloe!
