St Vincent De Paul – Sandwich Making

In Term 4 of 2019, Bethany College became involved with providing sandwiches for St Vincent De Paul’s night patrol organisation. Students kindly volunteered up their lunch time or an hour after school in order to prepare a variety of sandwiches which were distributed to the homeless by St Vincent De Paul.

This initiative was extremely successful due to both the student and teachers who volunteered their time to show support for the vulnerable in our community.

This year, the Sandwich Making initiative continued, starting on Tuesday the 11th of February. Students and teachers made an array of sandwiches which were delivered to St. Vincent De Paul’s Head Office in Lewisham that afternoon.

Particular thanks must be given to ALL students and staff who gave up their time to help, with a special thanks to Dinethi Algama (Year 12) who was selfless in helping coordinate rosters on the day.
