Piazza Penola was filled with year 8 students enjoying the fruits of their Italian labour – ask and you shall receive! As an out-of-class activity for the Food unit of work, students had to use their best Italian pronunciation (and manners!) to order their favourite gelato flavour. The Piazza was filled with gelato alla vaniglia, al limone, al cioccolato, al biscotto Oreo or al caramello salato, per favore!
Prof Criniti and Prof Gianni were happy to report that all students were successful in completing their challenge – no Seinfeld-esque “No gelato for you!” comments were used.
A great way to add to the atmosphere of Mufti Day!
