What’s Been Happening in Religious Education

As we begin our Advent season and start making preparations for Christmas, we are often reminded of those who have much less than we do.  As part of our social justice initiatives this year, you would have seen the Gift of Goodness envelopes that your daughter’s would have brought home. Sydney Catholic Schools have partnered with CatholicCare and Harris Farm Markets to raise money for fresh food hampers to be made up and delivered to those families in most need this Christmas.  To date, we have raised the following amounts:

Year 7 =   $ 75.00

Year 8 =   $103.00

Year 9 =   $ 95.00

Year 10 = $115.00

Year 11 = $246.00

Total:       $634.00

Thank you to all families who have generously donated.  It is still not too late to donate and should you wish to, but do not have the Gift of Goodness envelope supplied to students, please send in your donation in an envelope, clearly labelled “Gift of Goodness”.

I wish you all a blessed Christmas and I hope that the new year will bring you all many wonderful blessings.

May Jesus, who is the way, be a lamp unto your feet and a light for your path

as you journey towards the mystery of the Christmas miracle.
