What’s Been Happening in Religious Education

The Season of Lent; The Journey Continues

How are you journeying through Lent? Lent offers us all a very special opportunity to grow in our relationship with God and to deepen our commitment to our faith.  In our busy world, Lent provides us with an opportunity to reflect upon our actions. This Lent, take time to pray. Take time to think of others. Take time to reflect upon your own actions. This Lent, take time.

Year 7 Bibles

Year 7 students received their Bible in their RE classes in the past week.

Thank you to Mrs Karen Cotogno-Young, Mrs Vesna Mihaljevic and Mrs Tanya Moody for their generosity in labelling and sorting the Bibles into RE classes. Your support of and service to the College community is very much appreciated.

Year 9 Reflection Day – Wisdom and Respect

On Monday 16 February 2015, Year 9 students participated in their Reflection Day, facilitated by Mr Chris Doyle from Kairos Ministries. Chris led the students through personal reflection and response through song, storytelling and personal witness.

Below are some responses to the question One thing I learnt from the day…..

  • To respect my self and to respect others.
  • That I can stand up and speak in front of others.
  • To listen to other people.
  • To sing and dance and have fun.

Thank you to Mrs Pelham, Mrs Pentland, Mrs Sullivan, Mrs Colreavy, Mrs Smit, Mrs Rizzo and Mrs Vale for their support on the day.
